Successful candidates should have 5  plus years of experience providing pro-active and remedial hardware maintenance on servers and peripherals for one or more of the following platforms:

• EMC Clariion Storage
• Sun Microsystems Enterprise and Sun Fire servers
• Hewlett-Packard 9000 Unix
• Hewlett-Packard AlphaServer
• Hewlett-Packard Classic DEC AlphaServer and VAX
• Hewlett-Packard 3000
• Hewlett-Packard ProLiant servers
• Dell PowerEdge servers
• Dell CLARiiON Storage
• Cisco Systems routers and switches

Familiarity with system installation, hardware replacement procedures and firmware upgrades required. Candidates should be experienced with disk and tape sub-systems, including RAID arrays and tape libraries. Must have the ability to interpret and diagnose system error logs. Knowledge of diagnostics, system exercisers and operating system utilities used to troubleshoot, interrogate, re-configure, and test mid-range to enterprise class servers required as well.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
